Going to the Sun Road plowing has begun
Excitement is building in the Glacier region because plowing operations inside Glacier National Park have officially begun. Plowing the Going-to-the-Sun Road is a monumental task that usually takes about ten weeks, depending on weather and snowpack. The iconic alpine highway is considered one of the most difficult roads in America to plow and typically does not open until the third week of June.
